Final Magazine

This is the final front cover of my magazine. I have slightly adjusted the colour of the image as before it was too bright and preventing the reader from being able to see the writing that I have laid out on top of the image. It is a lot better than the first draft of my front cover as it stands out more and the writing looks a lot bolder. I like how the main image is the background of the front cover, it is a strong image that will stand out. I think it is good as well how I have placed the main sell line in the middle of the page so it looks like the artist is looking at it. Overall I believe I have used all the aspects that are needed to create a suitable magazine front cover, I believe that it will stand out and appeal to the target audience because the artist represents young people which is my target audience.

My contents page has changed a lot when compared with the first draft. I have gone with a completely different colour scheme and font style and in my opinion it looks a lot more professional and it is a lot more bolder therefore it stands out and will appeal to the target audience. I have made one column for the contents pages with a brief description under each page number so the reader knows what the pages are about, this will appeal to the target audience because they will be able to see there is a competition on about One direction, readers who are fans will be drawn to this. I created and came up with the final design by adding big black sections for important writing to go on top in a white style font so it would look bold and easy to read. Overall on my contents page I have used a strong main image of the artist James Vice, as well as an editorial explaining what the magazine is about, the brief description of pages will draw the reader in as they will want to read more.

The final draft of my double page feature isn't much different to the original draft. I have shortened down parts of the interview which has made a difference because instead of the page being all crammed together with a lot going on, it is now more spaced out which makes it look a lot better. I structured the interview in sections to make it look more interesting and easy to read. To create my double page feature I made one side of it all of the main image, I edited the image by using the sepia effect and deleting the background. It looks a lot better than before and it will stand out on the page. I like the way the two pages contrast each other because one side the background is grey and on the other side the background is white. Overall I have created an interesting interview and structured it in an appealing way. I made the main sell line a quote taken from the interview so the reader would be drawn in when looking through the magazine, I also made quotes from the article bigger so it would stand out more.
